Autodesk Navisworks software is the ideal place to bring the entire project together into a single file. Here, models created in different systems compose a single file. Editing and previewing all elements is very efficient thanks to a unique graphics engine.

In Autodesk Navisworks, we can create a so-called 4D project or 3D model + time. If we manage project resources or track progress using dedicated software, we can import such data into the Navisworks environment and simulate the construction of our object over time.

TimeLiner is a module in which we will simulate the construction of our investment. We can place the various stages of the project in different time paths. We can create such a configuration manually or use the database of an external program such as Microsoft Project. In such a simulation, we can also include projected investment costs and compare them with the actual state.
Navisworks version of Manage has a built-in module for checking collisions between objects in a project.The module operates intuitively, allowing us to compare any objects, and the result is clear and easy to communicate to interested designers. The format of the results can take the extensions .txt, .xml, or .html.
After placing our design in the Autodesk Navisworks environment, we can use various tools to move freely around it. We have options for gait or flight. There is also a function that applies material libraries to the object. Once new textures are assigned and lighting set, we can perform a “Render” operation.
