Here are some of the new innovations you’ll find in AutoCAD 2024.
Close information gaps in collaborative AutoCAD workflows and stay connected to critical data throughout the project lifecycle. With Activity Insights, you can stay informed of important file changes and accesses throughout the lifecycle of your project, with details of multi-user actions in a DWG file, requiring virtually zero configuration for files stored locally, on LAN, and on cloud servers.

Quickly find the blocks you need and replace one or more blocks with machine learning-based suggestions, recently used blocks, and manual selection of a replacement block. These powerful automations save you the time you would have to spend manually searching for blocks and replacing each instance, giving you a boost in productivity.
Automatically place blocks in your drawing by inferring the position of the next block based on where you have previously inserted the same blocks in the DWG file, reducing the number of clicks and saving time.
Accelerate your cross-platform markup work with enhanced machine learning capabilities and essential experience enhancements, allowing you to safely and confidently share and annotate drawings on your desktop, web, or mobile devices. With Markup Import, you can incorporate feedback from a PDF or printed document and automatically make changes to your drawings. With the improved Markup Assist, you can now update existing drawing text and automatically fade out markups that have already been resolved. AutoCAD uses machine learning to detect specific instructions in the marking text, which allows shortcuts to commands such as “MOVE”, “COPY” or “DELETE”.

AutoCAD 2024 offers new performance enhancements for 2D graphics and improved stability, accuracy, and performance, including up to 9x faster switching between layout tabs compared to AutoCAD 2023. AutoCAD 2024 installation has also been improved, allowing installation up to 2x faster than for AutoCAD 2023.
AutoCAD LT 2024 delivers a best-in-class 2D design experience. As in AutoCAD, Smart Blocks: placement functionality is included. And for the first time, AutoCAD LT 2024 includes AutoLISP – giving organizations an additional tool to streamline their processes, adhere to CAD standards, and leverage thousands of existing automations for AutoCAD-based programs.
With the recently released AutoCAD Web offering, users can create basic CAD designs online, and view, edit, and annotate drawings in the field using a web browser or mobile app.
The AutoCAD 2024 and AutoCAD LT 2024 subscription includes access to AutoCAD on the web and on mobile devices, enabling your new group of collaborators to effectively communicate ideas with colleagues and stakeholders on the go.
AutoCAD subscribers get access to exclusive web and mobile features, including using AutoLISP for customization to automate command sequences over the web, enabling local file access to access DWG files stored on a local drive or LAN, repositioning the ribbon commands on the web to mimic desktop locations, batch print to PDF, view or edit MTEXT objects, and directly open links on mobile devices.
AutoCAD for Mac 2024 and AutoCAD LT for Mac 2024 are also now available, including support for M-series chips.
